Hello my dears. Is this the face you needed to see first thing in the morning?
So I know we just spent 3 weeks traveling, but the family and I had no plans and a long weekend, so we couldn't help but decide to take a little road trip. One challenging thing about traveling with little ones is that we don't work in a hotel room, but luckily, sweet Natasha suggested I take a look at Vacation Rentals By Owner to find an affordable condo or house to rent. Um, hello, my new favorite website.
We found this sweet little 2 bedroom, pet friendly cottage for about as much as a nice hotel room to rent in Sonoma, CA, booked it Friday night, and headed north on Saturday morning for a weekend in Wine Country. Frankie was so excited he got to come along.
Because we are not totally selfish parents, we took the boys to Traintown before wineries. Let me just tell you, the marketing managers at Traintown are geniuses. And although Kev and I spent the 2 hours in official 'we have been suckered' parenting-mode, but Cullen was in heaven, and that was worth it.
Plus Bennett rode his first ride (and this photo is unedited, those are really his baby blues, I never mess with our eyes).
Trains Mommy, Trraaaaaiiiinnnnsssssss!
C in the midst of intense train whistling.
O, and did you know B has the biggest smiles ever?
He also is a great wine carrier.
The rest of the day, we continued to compromise: Mommy and Daddy taste wine, Cullen run.
Mommy and Daddy taste wine, boys play.
What happens when a winery advertises as 'family friendly'. If you have kids, and visit Sonoma, go to Larson Family Winery. So accommodating and their wines were a-maz-ing. (Actually, even if you don't have kids, you should go here first.)
My sweet family.
And B, because I figured you needed one more.
Hope you weekend was great too!

Ah! That big smile is just killer!
What a fun trip! I grew up in Napa and LOVED Traintown as a kid (always my favorite part of wine tasting, haha).
Also, I totally thought of you today because I met a man named Cullen at work :) He was nice and all, but I think your little man does the name proudest!
LOVE those smiles! I'm glad you all had fun! Oh and I like your leopard print top! =D
